Dr. Kylie LoPorto
Growing up, Dr. LoPorto suffered from migraines at a young age, and this only seemed to get worse as she got older with no hope insight. Throughout her life, she played soccer and lacrosse and suffered many concussions.
During college, Dr. LoPorto went to school to play lacrosse, but yet another concussion ended her lacrosse career. This led to even more migraines, fatigue, digestive issues, and brain fog. While in college, a local chiropractor spoke to her class sharing about chiropractic, giving the first glimpse of hope for her health she felt.
Dr. LoPorto decided to attend Sherman College of Chiropractic to pursue sharing this hope with others, where she graduated with honors. During her time there, she suffered another concussion, worsening her symptoms and leading to even more severe side effects that she never experienced before. It was then that specific upper cervical care began to save her life, turning things around.
This experience ignited her passion for upper cervical care and helping those who feel hopeless, as she understands that feeling deeply. While at Sherman College, Dr. LoPorto met her husband, Jacob.
Outside of the office, Kylie enjoys being in the sun, being barefoot, hiking and spending time with their two dogs and cat (who sometimes thinks she is a dog).

Dr. Jacob Lane
Dr. Jacob Lane was born and raised in East Texas. He grew up playing basketball his whole life but suffered an injury where he fractured his back while playing. After many months of pain and seeing multiple providers and chiropractors, he found an approach that worked well for him and alleviated the pain he was experiencing.
After much thought and prayer, Jacob decided to pursue chiropractic to help and serve others. He attended Sherman College of Chiropractic and graduated with honors. While in school, Dr. Lane received training in many areas of chiropractic. After extensive study and learning, he decided to focus on helping people with upper cervical chiropractic.
During his time at Sherman College, he met his wife, Kylie, who shared his passion for chiropractic care. When not in the office, they enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and playing with their two dogs and cat.
What is Upper Cervical Chiropractic?
Upper cervical chiropractic care (UCC) is a targeted approach within chiropractic that focuses on the alignment of the base of the skull where the head and neck meet, around a bone called the atlas. This region, known as the cranial cervical junction, is unique to the rest of the spine in function, movement, and the surrounding structures. It is a highly moveable area, which can make it more susceptible to injury and dysfunction. When injured or misaligned, it can contribute to things like neck pain, headaches, dizziness, facial pain and more.
The core idea behind UCC is that misalignments and dysfunction in this area can lead to further dysfunction in the body and provide altered input into the brain, which may contribute to many common head and neck symptoms and a lower quality of life than you were designed to live. UCC seeks to correct these misalignments, thereby reducing the overall load on the body and restoring optimal function, which may enhance overall well-being.
Different than the traditional chiropractic approach, we address these misalignments through gentle and precise adjustments in neutral postures, putting minimal stress on the joints of the spine. In our office, these adjustments are guided through our 3D CBCT imaging to be specific to your body and your needs. This approach aims to reduce biomechanical dysfunction and improve proprioception between the brain and body, which may help alleviate long term struggles from neck pain. Once this area is functioning better, most of our patients can see a significant impact in the global improvements throughout their body.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance or Medicare?
We are not in network with any insurances and are unable to take any Medicare patients at this time. We do take HSA/FSA and are a self-pay office. We have multiple payment options to make it easy and accessible for you!
What makes our office different than other chiropractic offices?
We focus on Upper Cervical Chiropractic in our office! We use 3D-CBCT to guide our adjustments and care with you, as well as state of the art Neck Care systems to assess your neck health and functioning. We are 1 of 3 offices in Utah currently using Neck Care and one of the few hundred nationwide using CBCT imaging to guide care.
Due to our specialized approach, we keep things small and personal. We have a very unique office that is tailored to give you the most personalized experience and give you our full attention. Our appointment times are 3x longer than the typical chiropractic visit and that whole time is spent with the doctor. We try to ensure you never feel rushed and your health is a priority to us. With keeping our office small and personal as well, this allows us to keep our prices as affordable as we can, keeping you in mind.
Do you take out of state/travel patients?
Yes, we certainly can! For this we will do a phone consultation first to make sure we believe we can help and collect more information since we are unable to do the in-person consultation we would typically do. This option is much more intensive, and we pack a lot into a short period of time, 3 or 5 days are the options. This is best suited for someone who is very committed to their health, ready for something new, and wanting/willing to make changes. Call or text our office to get this scheduled!
How many visits will I need?
This varies patient to patient. We will need your full history, exam, and neck health assessment results to make a tailored plan for you.
What should I expect from my initial visit?
All of our initial visits begin with a consultation. This allows us to get to know you, your unique needs, goals, and whether we believe we can help you and if our office is the right fit! This happens through an in-depth case history, neck health assessment and exam. We gather lots of information during this consultation and will have a good idea of how best to move forward from here!
If we believe we can help you and our office is the right fit to work together on your health, the next step would be to get our 3D-CBCT imaging done. There will be time at the end of our consultation to go ahead and get this done in that same visit. We know a lot of you travel to see us, so we like to be able to make this more efficient for everyone!
If we are not the best office for you, we will point you in the right direction of what we believe would be the best steps first or the right office.
